SOUTH AFRICA

The South Africa Cricket Team has been a part of World Cup tournament from 2002. This World Cup will be their seventh. They are ranked 3rd in the ICC ODI rankings at this point of time.

In the previous 6 tournaments, the Proteas haven't made it to the Final stage out of the 4 times they reached the Semi-Final stage.

In 55 World Cup matches, they have won 35, lost 18 and tied 2. They have lost only once against India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka; and have managed to win only once against Australia.

Out of 44 ODIs played in England, the Proteas have won 18, lost 22, tied 2 and 2 matches ended in no result.

Proteas will start their World Cup 2019 campaign against the hosts on 30 May 2019 at The Oval.
