The New Zealand Cricket Team has been a part of all World Cup tournaments right from its inception in 1975. New Zealand is ranked 4th in the ICC ODI rankings.

In 11 previous tournaments, they have managed to reach the Final stage only once out of the 7 times they made it to the Semi-Final stage. They made it to the Semi-Finals 3 times out of 4 when the World Cup took place in England.

In 79 World Cup matches played, they have won 48, lost 30 and one match ended in no result. They are unbeaten against Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the World Cup.

In 58 ODI matches played in England, the Black Caps has won 25, lost 26 and 7 matches have ended in no result. They have never lost an ODI game against India and never won an ODI game against South Africa in England.

New Zealand will start their World Cup 2019 campaign against Sri Lanka on 1 June 2019 at Cardiff.
